As you enter Meshikou, the warm ambiance welcomes you to explore an array of flavors. Begin your meal with the Meshikou Karaage, a mouthwatering dish that features marinated chicken chunks flash-fried to perfection. Coupled with a spicy citrus dipping sauce, this appetizer sets the stage for what's to come. The Enoki Bacon Wrap, crispy bacon enveloping delicately grilled enoki mushrooms drizzled with unagi sauce, is another must-try, marrying savory and sweet in every bite.
When it comes to their ramen offerings, Meshikou shines with the likes of the Shio Paitan Ramen and Spicy Mala Ramen. The Shio Paitan delivers a creamy, luscious broth that comforts and warms — perfect for those chilly Ohio nights. On the spicier side, the Spicy Mala Ramen explodes with flavor and heat, featuring tender pork that complements its well-balanced profile. Diners frequently rave about the chewy consistency of the noodles and the beautifully runny soft-boiled eggs, which are highlights of the experience. For those seeking something a little lighter, the Yuzu Soy Mazemen is a refreshing option, combining wavy ramen noodles with citrusy yuzu soy dressing, topped with braised pork belly — a perfect balance of sweet and savory.
While Meshikou's focus is undoubtedly on flavor, it's worth mentioning that the service can be hit or miss, with some diners reporting less-than-enthusiastic interactions. However, this does not overshadow the quality of the food, which brings loyal customers back again and again. After all, good food is always worth the wait.

As a self proclaimed ramen enthusiast, I can confidently say that meshikou has consistently been one of the best ramen places in Columbus! While they deviate from the norm and uses chicken instead of pork bones for their broth, they still manage to deliver the umaminess that you expect from a good broth. I got the meishikou black which has a delectable garlicky kick to it, adding to the umaminess! Meishikou always deliver - The noodles are chewy and the eggs are always slightly runny. The only complaint is that they can be a little slow at times but good food is always worth a wait ;)

We were overdue for a visit to Meshikou! Perfect early dinner date night spot. If you get there early enough, there should g be too long a wait! Treated ourselves to two apps: karaage (fried chicken bites) and salt & pepper calamari. Mr R got Spicy Mala Ramen and I got Shio Parian Ramen. Firstly, apps: still love the karaage. Almost wish there was a hot chicken option. Calamari was underwhelming. Will pass on this next time. Spicy mala ramen: full of flavor. Decent amount of spice (a good choice for spice lovers!) Pork tenderloin was good. Felt like an upscale bowl of ramen - good toppings and well-balanced. Shio Paitan ramen: Creamy, luscious broth. Loved the veg. Pork belly was nice, but not the best I've ever had. Good sized, filling bowl of ramen. Perfect for a cold night! Prices on the ramen were on par for Cbus ($15.50). I think that ramen is slightly overpriced in general, but it's a good, quality option if you're in the mood. Wish they had little bites for sweets/dessert. We would have lingered a bit longer for it!

I've been craving ramen and heard good things about Meshikou so my fiancé and I stopped by for dinner. There were so many great options, including dry ramens and traditional ramen with broth, lots of cocktail options, and great appetizers too. We started with Karaage and it was exactly how fried chicken should be - crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It's served with a sweet and sour sauce of sorts, different than the usual kewpie mayo but I liked it! The Yuzu Soy Mazemen - the yuzu, citrusy notes really hit the spot. It's sooo refreshing, and love the wavy noodles and pickled cucumbers. If you want a lighter option, this is the one to order. Shoyu Paitan Ramen- how did they achieve such creaminess with chicken broth? so comforting and cozy!

We ordered the habanero wings and calamari for starters. It was pretty good. The ramen was great and came out very hot. I like how they serve the karrage chicken on the side so it doesn't get soggy in the soup. The serving sizes are really generous. Decor inside was single and clean. I noticed the fried chicken location next door, but I think it may be a separate business. Just an assumption, not confirmed. The service could've been better. He was pretty unfriendly and overall seemed like he didn't want to be there. A simple question for recommended drinks was responded in an attitude and a "I don't drink". Hopefully we don't get the same server on our next visit.

We had the vegan Mala ramen. It was fantastic bursting with flavor and a great amount of spice. There's a good amount of vegetables plus tofu which made it very filling. I would not say it was a traditional ramen as the sichuan flavors gave it a more Chinese taste. But it was a very tasty fusion style dish

Cute little ramen shop off of bethel rd where many of the other Asian restaurants like K-Pot are located. Service here is very attentive as we went on a not so busy Saturday afternoon. Servers were kind and super helpful with recommendation the most popular items. The ramen here is decently good. I've had better authentic ramen in other states, but this is good enough for Ohio. The broth here is flavorful and tasty. The fried chicken was great and actually spicy which we love.

I've tried most of the ramen spots around town and this is always my favorite. Each of the owners I've met are so wonderful, and polite to talk to. Recognize me when I haven't been in recently. Food is always top notch. The atmosphere is great, service is always relatively fast. Better get in early on weekends... They will not seat you without a full party, even if they're just parking... which is annoying but I do understand. Would love for them to integrate the Chikin menu in to the Meshiko menu, I miss the fried sandwich.

It's a large menu but you can't go wrong with their chicken. Just ask the server for suggestions and you will be fine. the broth is good but not the best in town. Service is excellent. I will be back for the chicken. They will give you cucumber water to help cool your mouth after eating spicy. It was perfect.

We were driving by Columbus on the way to Hocking Hills for the weekend, happened upon this cute little eatery in an Asian centric plaza. Fortunately, we arrived just sometime to beat the crowd and were seated immediately. We split three ramens, karaage, and chicken wing. The karaage was sooo good. Our fav ramen flavor was the spicy miso. Meshikou black - I was expecting a little more intensity to the flavor so was a little underwhelmed. The kids did enjoy the Paitan.

The most delicious ramen!! Many options and they will customize for you. The broth...yum! This restaurant is not big so you may have to sit at the counter. The fun part is you can watch them make your food! I actually love the cozy atmosphere of this hip little place. Quick service. Friendly staff. This place is a must stop!
